Before the release of the next episodes, Melty has decided to give you a full recap of everything there is to know about the Spanish series. What is the release date for part 5 of La Casa de Papel?
Part 5 of La Casa de Papel will be released in two separate parts: the first burst of episodes will be available from September 3, while the sequel will arrive on the catalog from December 3, 2021. If this choice to split the last 10 episodes in two surprised some, the showrunner Alex Pina explained his intention. The first volume, as he calls it, will be action-centric, pushing robbers on a razor’s edge. Conversely, in volume 2, it is the emotional situation of the characters that will be explored. It is a journey through their feelings and emotions, enough to offer a complete and relevant conclusion to La Casa de Papel.

What does the promotional poster for part 5 of La Casa de Papel look like?
You can find out the official poster of La Casa de Papel part 5, unveiled by Netflix. A cracked Dalí mask placed on the concrete does not bode well for our favorite robbers …
What is the synopsis for part 5 of La Casa de Papel?
The summary of part 5 of La Casa de Papel shared by Netflix describes the following plot: “The robbers managed to save Lisbon, but they are about to live their darkest hours, after losing one of their own. The Professor has been captured by Sierra and, for the first time, he does not know how to escape”. We imagine that the return of Berlin (in the form of flashbacks a priori), seen on various shooting photos, will also reveal more details on the past of the robber and his brother Sergio!
Who are the La Casa de Papel characters?
Denver is the boyfriend of Monica aka Stockholm, one of the hostages of the first robbery of La Casa de Papel. Mad in love, they decided to leave together at the conclusion of this robbery, but today, strong tensions are damaging the couple. Will they stay together at the end of Part 5?
Hostage of the first robbery, Monica finally became Stockholm after falling in love with Denver. If today, their relationship is weak, she still seems determined to want to help the team. Hopefully she doesn’t betray them during the adventure …
Finally, Berlin sacrificed itself in season 2 of the series to save the team. Sergio’s brother suffered from an incurable disease, but sadly died with his secrets. Very popular with fans, his character however returned in the following seasons in the form of flashbacks. to provide more details on its history. We are sure to see him again in part 5 of La Casa de Papel and it will certainly be explosive!
If Rio has had several difficult moments in the series, he is hanging on like a stone to hold on. We hope his rivalry with Tokyo won’t derail the plan, let’s keep our fingers crossed so that everything goes as well as possible!
Narrator of the series, Tokyo is considerably the main character of La Casa de Papel with his co-star El Profesor. One theory is that she is the sole survivor at the end of the series, and it is true that there are many clues that could support this idea. Her character can sometimes bristle other members of the group, but Tokyo is very endearing!
Nairobi is one of the favorite characters for fans of La Casa de Papel, but unfortunately she left us at the end of the fourth season. Like Berlin, we hope to find it in the form of flashbacks in the next episodes, because we will never know enough about its history!
Helsinki is the big teddy bear of the group! We can count on him, he is nice and has a good build. A major asset for this cosmopolitan team of robbers.
No need to introduce the iconic El Profesor, the master of operations! He is the head of the group, but he could now need some great help in the next episodes.. Alicia Sierra has found her safe house, and she seems determined to make him pay for his little teasing to the police!
Palermo is the least reliable member of the Profesor team. He betrayed the robbers in the previous season of the Spanish series, only to change his mind along the way. Palermo once had a hidden love affair with Berlin, and it was very bad for their separation. Will he get better in the next few episodes or will he be even sourer than before?
Marseille is the right hand of the Profesor, he assists him outside the hold-up zones. Not much is known of his history, except that he was very attached to a dog who has now died. Marseille is a sensitive and loyal member of Sergio’s team, we can’t wait to see if he’ll drive something even more extraordinary than a helicopter in part 5 of La Casa de Papel !
Manila is a new recruit that we can’t wait to discover more. She plays a transexual character and will lend a hand to the robbers in the Bank of Spain.
- Alicia Sierra, played by Najwa Nimri
Alicia Sierra plays the formidable police officer in charge of the investigation. She wants to stop the robbers at all costs, especially now that Lisbon, her ex-teammate, has packed up. Last I heard, she had finally found the Profesor’s hideout, but the problem is that she is now also wanted by the police!
We have no information about the character played by Miguel Ángel Silvestre, simply, the showrunner of the series, Alex Pina, had announced the recruitment of “characters strong and charismatic enough to stand up to the Professor”. Is he one of those concerned?
For now, it is not known which role Patrick Criado will play in the next episodes. However, he has been seen in numerous photos filming alongside Berlin, one theory would be that he is portrayed as the son of Berlin. We can’t wait to learn more about her role!
Who are the actors of La Casa de Papel?
Without such good actors, La Casa de Papel would not enjoy such success! All the characters mentioned above are played by the following actors:
- Stockholm: Esther Acebo
- Tokyo: Úrsula Corberó
- Sergio or El Profesor: Álvaro Morte
- Palermo: Rodrigo de la Serna
- Alicia Sierra: Najwa Nimri
- Role unknown for Miguel Ángel Silvestre
- Role unknown for Patrick Criado
Is a season 6 of La Casa de Papel planned?
Normally part 5 of La Casa de Papel is expected as the last of the series. In an interview, Itziar Ituno, the interpreter from Lisbon, explained that it was time to close the story of the professor and his gang. However, some doubts remain. The fans play on the words, after that Netflix announced “the end of the robbery” and not the end of the story. Some actors had also teased the possible preparation of spin-offs but nothing official for the moment. There is still little chance that Netflix will order a season 6 from La Casa de Papel, after Álvaro Morte (The Professor) openly bid farewell to the series.
