While waiting to watch the next chapter of Loki, and thus find out if the god of mischief will really collaborate with Mobius or simply betray him, and if we took a look at the easter eggs that should not be missed in this first episode?

When Loki finds himself alone in front of the computer which contains all the significant events of his destiny, he cannot resist the urge to discover the future he could have known. This is how he attends his reconciliation with Thor, but also his death at the hands of Thanos. The moment is moving and the god of mischief cannot hold back his tears. This sequence which shows a little more the psychology of Loki is inspired by Toy story, and in particular of the scene during which Buzz Lightyear understands that he is a toy.

Loki aka DB Cooper

While most of Loki’s memories are made up of scenes already seen in the MCU, one of the sequences shows a previously unseen event in which he flees from a plane with a briefcase full of banknotes. This scene is inspired by the true story of DB Cooper, a man who hijacked a plane in 1971 and demanded a ransom. After escaping with the money, he completely disappeared in the wild and has never been found.

A link with WandaVision

During her presentation, Miss Minutes qualifies as a Nexus event the fact that a variant deviates from the sacred chronology. This isn’t the first time this word has been used in the MCU, since it was also the name of a drug in one of the commercials of the series WandaVision. In the comics, Wanda Maximoff is also described as Nexus. Could this be a connection between Scarlet Witch, Loki and Doctor Strange 2 ? That’s what we think …

Stones with not-so-infinite powers

The quest for the Infinity Stones has been at the heart of the first three phases of the MCU. Described as particularly powerful artifacts, however, their reputation took a hit in the first episode of Loki. Since gems are ineffective within VAT, they serve as paper presses for analysts. We also wonder which variants have tried to recover all these stones, and especially for what purpose.

Loki may be a character from the universe of Thor, but that does not prevent the series from referring to Tony Stark. During the opening scene, Loki’s fall in the sand is indeed a parallel with the film. Iron man. After facing the Ten Rings, Tony falls into the desert the same way. A little later, Loki tries to use his powers against Judge Ravenslayer, but without success. In Iron man 3Tony Stark finds himself in a similar situation. He indeed tries to bring his armor to him, without succeeding.

When Loki is brought into the premises of the TVA, we can see on the left of the image that a Skrull is in the same situation as him. What confirms that this alien race is present in the MCU, even teaser the arrival of the series Secret Invasion in which the Skrulls will attempt to invade Earth.

During her introduction Miss Minutes speaks of a war that led to the creation of the sacred timeline. This clash is most certainly the one who pitted the Kree empire against the Nova empire, and mentioned in the film Guardians of the Galaxy.

Kang the Conqueror?

At the end of the episode, the TVA Minutmen travel to Oklahoma where they find a weapon dating from the third millennium. It is exactly during this period that Kang the Conqueror evolves. Could this be an indication of his imminent arrival? We tend to think that the presence of this weapon is not a coincidence, in particular because the judge of the TVA who hears Loki is none other than Ravonna Ravenslayer, played by Gugu Mbatha-Raw. In the comics, she and Kang are in love.

The new Asgard

Speaking of Oklahoma, the choice of this place is probably not trivial either. In the comics, New Asgard was created in Oklahoma after the Ragnarok.

Earth-616

The images of Loki’s life are on film bearing the reference ETH-616, which is undoubtedly a nod to EARTH-616 (Earth-616), the main Earth in Marvel comics.
